A l’occasion de la Journée Mondiale des Réfugiés et dans le cadre de sa campagne #Open To Syria, Amnesty International Luxembourg, avec le soutien du groupe de bénévoles actifs sur la question des réfugiés, vous invite à la projection de film "Io Sto Con la Sposa" – (Moi, je suis avec la mariée).
En novembre 2013, un cortège de mariage formé par trois voitures et une quinzaine d’invités part de Milan en direction de la Suède. Des noces européennes comme tant d’autres ? Pas tout à fait. Le cortège est un simulacre, dont l’objectif est de permettre à cinq requérants d’asile syriens et palestiniens de rejoindre la Suède et d’y déposer une demande d’asile.
Grâce à la planification rigoureuse et à la collaboration avec les réseaux de solidarité européens, l’entreprise est un succès. Après quatre jours de route, mariés et invités se retrouvent, abasourdis, ivres de joie, à la gare de Malmö. Gabriele del Grande, Antonio Augugliaro et Khaled Soliman Al Nassiry racontent avec beaucoup de poésie un voyage qui n’est pas seulement mouvement dans l’espace mais aussi un parcours intérieur, d’espoir et de résistance aux violences de la guerre et de la Forteresse Europe.
La projection du film (VOstEN) sera suivie par une discussion-débat, en présence de:

– Maitre Saliha Dekhar, avocate au Barreau de Luxembourg

At the occasion of the World refugee day and within the frame of its campaign #Open To Syria, Amnesty International Luxembourg, along with its members of the working group for refugee matters, invites you the screening of the movie "Io sto con la sposa" (On the bride’s side)
A Palestinian poet and an Italian journalist meet five Palestinians and Syrians in Milan who entered Europe via the Italian island of Lampedusa after fleeing the war in Syria. They decide to help them complete their journey to Sweden – and hopefully avoid getting themselves arrested as traffickers – by faking a wedding. With a Palestinian friend dressed up as the bride and a dozen or so Italian and Syrian friends as wedding guests, they cross halfway over Europe on a four-day journey of three thousand kilometres.
This emotionally charged journey not only brings out the stories and hopes and dreams of the five Palestinians and Syrians and their rather special traffickers, but also reveals an unknown side of Europe – a transnational, supportive and irreverent Europe that ridicules the laws and restrictions of the Fortress in a kind of masquerade which is no other than the direct filming of something that really took place on the road from Milan to Stockholm from the 14th to the 18th of November 2013.
The movie will be in original version with English subtitles and will be followed by a debate (both in French and English), with:
