About the event
July 8th, 2025 at Rocas (33 Rue des Capucins, 1313 Ville-Haute Luxembourg)
Language: English
Co-organised by Amnesty Internal Luxembourg and Megaphone
Protesting is a fundamental human right. It allows people to express their opinions, demand change, and hold governments accountable. The Luxembourg government is working on a new draft law that could restrict the right to protest. These changes could make it significantly harder for groups, associations, and activists to peacefully express their concerns. They would disproportionately affect already marginalized communities who are calling for justice and equity.
Join us on July 8th to discover more about the right to protest and how you can act to make a change ! We will go through the history of protests in Luxembourg, analyse international cases, learn more about the new draft bill in Luxembourg and hear perspectives from different actors involved in protest organising, research and victims.
